Cassiopeia Milky Way over Yellowstone Canyon - Canon M
click on image for larger view
The Cassiopeia Milky Way floats above the
Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone, as viewed
from Artist's Point.  The hardest part was
watching out for Grizzley Bears.  I had my
bear spray ready.  A park ranger came by
wondering what I was doing there on a dark
night.

At the center right of the image, notice the
Andromeda Galaxy.  Slightly left of center you
can see the Double Cluster of Perseus.

This image combined 10 images of 13
seconds at ISO 6400, taken with a Canon M
mirrorless camera and a 22 mm lens wide
open at f/2.0.  The images were stacked in
Maxim DSLR, and then processed in
Photoshop.
