Total Solar Eclipse
2017 & 1998
A total solar eclipse occurs in the few moments that the moon's shadow may fall on
a narrow band of the earths surface, up to twice a year.

The image above is an HDR composite of 4 photos with exposures from 1/1500 sec
to 1/60 second, with a Nikon 300 mm lens at f 5.6 on a Canon 60Da camera, from
Victor Idaho in August 2017.  
The photo below was taken from a cruise ship off the
coast of Aruba in February 1998.  I used a Nikkormat camera at prime focus through
a 4" refractor, with Kodak slide film.
